The Board of Directors of St. Vincent’s Academy has unanimously voted to adopt the President/Principal administrative structure beginning in the 2019-2020 school year. This model will fall in line with other Mercy secondary schools.

Mrs. Mary Anne Hogan has been chosen by the SVA Board of Directors to blaze the trail as the first President of St. Vincent’s Academy. For the last decade, Mrs. Hogan has initiated and implemented advances in facilities, curriculum, marketing, development, student life, communications, and professional development. As SVA enters the 175th year of educating young women, Mrs. Hogan will continue her leadership and innovation as President of the St. Vincent’s Academy.

After an International, National, and local search, It is with great pleasure that we announce that Ms. Dawn Odom has been named as the next Principal of St. Vincent’s Academy beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.

Ms. Odom’s service to St. Vincent’s Academy, the Sisters of Mercy, and Mercy Education began almost  two decades ago. Her experience as a teacher and award winning Director of Athletics will serve her well in her new role.

Mrs. Hogan and Ms. Odom look forward to a bright and promising future for the students and faculty at SVA.
